District Deputy Grand Master - R.W. Bro.Lawrence F. "Larry" Bell (continued)

As the new Masonic year is commencing, I wish to thank the Brethren of Victoria District and the Lodge of Faithful Brethren No. 77, Lindsay, for granting me the opportunity to serve as District Deputy Grand Master for the ensuing year. I look forward to representing our Grand Master, M.W. Bro. John C. Green as I travel to each lodge in our District.

This Masonic year is going to be a busy one. Victoria District will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary on October 1st. Lodges from throughout the District will have floats entered in the Bobcaygeon Fall Fair parade as part of the Celebration. That evening, there will be a Grand Master's reception at the Eganridge Inn and Spa, also included in our Centennial Celebration.

In accepting this position, I realize that I am being left large shoes to fill. R.W. Bro. Kevin Morgan deserves the thanks and respect of all of the Brethren of Victoria District for the excellent manner which he served us, and represented us while visiting in other Districts.

I would be remiss if I didn't take a moment to thank the District Chairmen and Officers for offering their time and talents for the benefit of the District. Please feel free to contact them to take advantage of their skills and assistance whenever the need arises. They are here for your benefit. Thanks also goes to W. Bro. Rene A. Faas for accepting the position of District Secretary. He is a very knowledgeable and committed Brother and I have no doubt will serve us well. I look forward to working with him throughout the year.

Congratulations go to V.W. Bro. Jason R. Rawlins and V.W. Bro. Floyd A. Pehlemann on being appointed as Grand Stewards for this year. This obviously is in recognition of their faithful service to the Craft. No doubt we will see them travelling around the District.

Lastly, I must thank my wife, Susan, who has been my love, my rock and inspiration for the past thirty-six years. She has encouraged me in this, and other ventures, and has always been at my side for support.

In closing, I thank you once again for the confidence you have shown in me, allowing me the opportunity to serve as District Deputy Grand Master of Victoria District. I encourage all Brethren to be active in their Lodge and practice our fundamental principles of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth. I look forward to seeing you in Lodge.

Sincerely and Fraternally,
R.W. Bro. Lawrence F. "Larry" Bell
